Rosa Fond is an animal rescuer, advocate, photographer and writer whose work is rooted in compassion for animals and the belief that every life deserves to be seen, protected and valued.
As the founder of Humans & Animals United (HAAU), Rosa has helped turn that commitment into action through rescue, advocacy and storytelling for vulnerable animals in need.
Her work extends beyond rescue itself. Through photography and writing, Rosa shares the beauty, individuality and stories of animals and the natural world—encouraging others to look closer, care more deeply and act with compassion.

Rosa’s commitment to animals extends far beyond raising awareness. For years, she has worked directly to help animals facing abandonment, neglect, abuse and uncertain futures—advocating for those who have no voice of their own.
As the founder of Humans & Animals United (HAAU), Rosa works alongside a network of rescuers, volunteers, fosters, supporters and animal advocates dedicated to giving vulnerable animals the safety, medical care and second chances they deserve.
For Rosa, rescue is more than saving an animal from a difficult situation. It is about recognizing the value of an individual life—and refusing to look away when that life needs someone to stand up for it.
